Melissa Taylor is a senior consultant and offers multi-faceted expertise in economic development to both community and corporate clients. Her experience encompasses every facet of building high-performance economic development organizations and designing successful marketing and recruitment initiatives to attract new business opportunities.

She is a specialist in the arena of new business attraction and marketing strategies to stimulate economic expansion for communities, and her work spans from hands-on prospecting to deal closing.

She also serves as an advisor in the arena of corporate site selection and financial incentives, helping companies that are relocating or expanding to make the best location decisions and secure project incentives.

Melissa has worked on relocation and expansion projects for global and national business icons such as Procter & Gamble, Mitsubishi, Cintas, Dell, United Healthcare, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, and IKEA. She is widely recognized as an economic development leader in the Cincinnati-Dayton Metroplex for establishing and directing development agencies for two of Ohio's premier and fastest growing communities, West Chester and Mason, and for her advocacy of regional collaboration.

Melissa also served as advisor to the West Chester Development Council, the community’s Community Improvement Corporation serving public and private investors in economic development initiatives, and she also managed special projects for the City of Cincinnati.

Prior to focusing on economic development, Melissa worked for the Department of Defense as a government affairs strategist in markets in the Southwest and West Coast. In that role, she was responsible for improving communications and operational planning among military executives, local corporate and civic leaders, and the media.

As a partner in a small family-owned real estate investment company, Melissa has managed all aspects of the business from acquiring properties to branding & marketing.

She attended both Auburn University and Oklahoma State University, earning a B.S. in Marketing & Communications, and completed graduate coursework at Phillips University.

Melissa has earned corporate & national awards for creativity in her field.
