Andrew SimonBack

Andrew Simon is a Consultant with KMK Consulting. He is also the founder of High5 Consulting, a public relations, government affairs and political consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.

Previously, Andrew served as the Deputy Regional Political Director for the Midwest states for the Republican National Committee. In this capacity, he worked with targeted campaigns and state parties in eight states on developing and implementing comprehensive political plans. Andrew advised these campaigns and state parties on issues such as fundraising, grassroots, communications, polling, eMarketing and overall strategy.

Andrew was responsible for coordinating the RNC’s Victory 2006 program for the Midwest states, where over $10 million was spent on targeted races in the region. In addition, Andrew was responsible for organizing political rallies and coordinating fundraising events, having worked on numerous events for the President of the United States and other Administration and elected officials. He assisted in onsite mobilization for campaigns in Virginia, Ohio, and North Dakota, among others, during his tenure at the RNC. Andrew has also served as an assistant to RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman.

Prior to his work at the RNC, Andrew held positions as an Uhruu Fellow at the International Republican Institute working on democracy promotion in Africa, and at the 53rd Presidential Inaugural Committee working as the Deputy Assistant Director of the Treasury Division.

During the 2004 Presidential election, Andrew worked as a Field Coordinator for Bush-Cheney ’04 in Maine. In this capacity, he coordinated the grassroots and get-out-the-vote operations for Central Maine that saw President Bush increase his share of the vote in the region by 20.07% from 2000 to 2004.

Andrew recently completed the Marine Corps Marathon where he raised thousands of dollars for AIDS Marathon, benefiting the Whitman-Walker AIDS Clinic. He is a tutor at Horton’s Kids and a volunteer at Miriam’s Kitchen.

Andrew earned a degree in Political Science in 2004 from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He has also studied at the London School of Economics and at universities in India, South Africa and Brazil with the International Honors Program. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Andrew now resides in Washington, D.C.
