Robert P. Mecklenborg, Jr.Back

Robert P. Mecklenborg, Jr. is a Consultant with KMK Consulting Company, LLC and a member of both its Economic Development and Corporate Solution Groups.

Rob’s areas of focus include public-private partnerships, strategic plans, site selection and incentives, and green energy strategies. He is experienced in assisting for-profit and not-for-profit organizations develop financing strategies. Rob also has extensive experience in providing consultation to clients in the real estate, technology, architecture/engineering and manufacturing industries.

Prior to joining KMK Consulting, Rob spent several years as a consultant at a national government relations firm. Rob was successful in writing grant applications on behalf of Fortune 500 companies and was part of a team that obtained over $20 million in Ohio’s Third Frontier awards on behalf of advanced energy, manufacturing, bio-medical, and advanced material companies. Rob also assisted in the procurement of a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission permit for the construction of a $500 million, 110 megawatt hydroelectric facility. He also has worked on numerous public financing projects that include public/private partnerships with institutions of higher education such as Miami University, University of Cincinnati, Ohio State University, and Case Western Reserve University.

Rob is actively involved in a number of civic organizations and community activities. He is a member of the Hamilton County Republican Party Leadership Council and has served on numerous chamber of commerce committees. Rob received a Bachelor of Sciences in Business from Miami University with a minor in Public Administration. He resides in Cincinnati.
