Stuart L. Rogel


Stuart L. Rogel is an Advisor with KMK Consulting, and he is the former founder, president, and chief executive officer of the Tampa Bay Partnership. He is a nationally renowned economic development advisor. Focusing on economic prosperity for all parties, Stuart brings respected corporate and community leaders together to identify and create strategic pathways that fuel mutual growth, competitive advantage, and livable communities. 

With more than 20 years’ experience, Stuart’s flair for shaping long-term opportunities is rooted in visionary leadership, non-partisanship, and reasoned solutions. His most prominent success stories include delivering economic prosperity to eight-counties across west-central Florida, handling site selection for numerous Fortune 500 companies, raising in excess of $1 billion for highway and transit connectivity, and recruiting more than 150 of Tampa Bay’s most influential thought leaders and businesses that are committed to regional economic development. A notable advocate, Stuart played an instrumental role in positioning the University of South Florida (USF) as a world-class research institution, and he hand-selected and presented USF’s first board of trustees to Governor Jeb Bush.

During his early career, Stuart served as the regional director for the Florida office of New Boston Fund Properties, a full-service real estate development, management, and investment company. Previously, he worked as assistant city manager and economic and community development director for the City of Miami Beach where he led the community through dramatic and successful revitalization and redevelopment initiatives.

Complementing his position as a trustee for the Florida Chamber Foundation, Stuart serves on the board of directors for BBVA Compass Bank and is a member of the United Way Suncoast Board of Directors. He serves as the volunteer chair of the Team Florida Marketing Partnership in which he monitors and reports progress to the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors. Nationally active with the Urban Land Institute, he frequently speaks before the International Economic Development Council. In addition to being a graduate of Leadership Florida Class XXI, Stuart is the past chair of the Urban Land Institute’s Tampa Bay District Council and past president of the Florida Economic Development Council.
