KMKC Forms Strategic Alliance with James R. Kinnett
Cincinnati, October 3, 2005 - KMK Consulting is pleased to announce that it recently formed a strategic alliance with James R. Kinnett II. Jim will be associated with KMKC as a Senior Consultant and Of Counsel. He is also the President of The Kinnett Consulting Group, an economic development and site selection consulting firm located in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Jim assists businesses with location issues as well as economic development organizations dealing with issues of competitiveness and image. In addition, Jim works with communities to resolve various concerns, including zoning regulations, strategic planning, comprehensive planning, cost of doing business analysis and impact analysis. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) as well as the CEcD Certification Committee of IEDC.
Previously, Jim led the economic development efforts in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where he took the organization from assets of $200,000 and no staff or office to an organization with over $40 million in assets and the creation of a 500 acre industrial park, a 110 acre public port facility with a foreign trade zone designation and a downtown Mainstreet program. While in West Virginia, Mr. Kinnett served on numerous Boards, including the West Virginia Economic Development Council, WVU-Parkersburg Mollohan Center for Applied Technology and The Blennerhassett Historical Foundation. Prior to that, Mr. Kinnett ran the Richmond Indiana Economic Development program where he located a number of the largest projects in the State of Indiana. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Economic Developers Association.
Jim graduated from Indiana State University with a BS in Economics and Social Science Education. He is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) through AEDC/IEDC as well as a Fellow Member of the Council and recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from IEDC. He has also earned his Economic Development Finance Professional designation from the National Development Council.
