KMKC Leads Executive Searches for Key
Cincinnati Economic Development Organizations
Cincinnati, January 28, 2004-
KMK Consulting Company is proud to announce that its leadership of executive searches for some of Cincinnati’s premier economic development organizations has resulted in the hiring of three new leaders for our home community.
KMKC led the search for the Director of Economic Development position with the City of Cincinnati that resulted in the hiring of Chad Munitz. Chad comes to Cincinnati from Columbus, Ohio where he was most recently the Assistant Deputy Director for the Economic Development Division of the Ohio Department of Development.
The Director of Economic Development position with the City of Cincinnati was created in association with the Mayor’s Economic Development Task Force which on June 25, 2003 recommended the creation of an Economic Development Division within the Office of the City Manager. KMKC was also the lead consultant to the Task Force and its co-chairs, City Manager Valerie Lemmie and Fifth Third Bank President/CEO George Schaefer, Jr.
KMKC also led the search for the Vice President of Government Affairs position with the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce that resulted in the hiring of Doug Moormann. Doug also comes to Cincinnati from Columbus, Ohio where he was most recently the Executive Assistant to Governor Bob Taft for Business and Industry.
Finally, KMKC led the search in association with John Alschuler of Hamilton, Rabinovitz and Alschuler for the President position with the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation that resulted in the hiring of Steve Leeper. Steve comes to Cincinnati from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he was most recently the Executive Director of Pittsburgh’s Sports and Exhibition Authority.
