KMKC Assists in Reinvention of
Economic Development Organization
Cincinnati, May 28, 2003- KMK Consulting Company is pleased to announce that it has completed a program assessment, leadership consensus process and strategic plan for the economic development program at the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, resulting in the creation of a new organization: The Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership. The Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership, which remains an integral part of the Chamber, is the successor organization to Target Omaha which served as the community’s economic development initiative for the last ten years. The new Partnership expands the regional footprint, greatly increases emphasis on marketing and deal flow among several other priorities most impressively, it will increase the annual operating budget from $1.3 Million to $4 Million. KMKC will continue to assist the new organization as it launches a $20 Million five-year campaign. The new Partnership is chaired by Bruce Rohde, Chairman and CEO of ConAgra Foods. Jim McGraw, President and CEO, said, “We are very proud to continue our relationship with the leadership in Omaha as they embark on a new phase of the region’s economic growth.
