KMKC Retained by Metro Orlando
Economic Development Commission
Cincinnati, May 29, 2003- KMK Consulting Company is proud to announce that it has been retained by the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission to perform strategic planning services, to direct a leadership consensus-building process, and to direct a major funding campaign for the organization's next five-year business cycle beginning in October 2004. The Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission represents the City of Orlando and Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola Counties. With current annual operating budget of $5 Million, the EDC offers a variety of services including: statistical data and market research; expediting the permit process; site location and scouting assistance; coordinating workforce training and recruitment; export sales advice; serving as a resource for financial assistance; and entrepreneurial assistance. Since 1977, the EDC and its community partners have successfully assisted hundreds of companies resulting in more than $5.6 Billion in capital investment, more than 113,000 jobs created, nearly 56 million square feet of office and industrial space leased or constructed, and with $1.54 billion in annual exports, the region is consistently ranked at the fastest-growing export market in the state of Florida.
