City of Cincinnati Engages KMK Consulting to Serve as Special Counsel to New City Manager and the Mayor’s Economic Development Task Force
Cincinnati, July 24, 2002- KMK Consulting Company is proud to announce that it has been engaged by the City of Cincinnati to provide strategic consulting and facilitation services to the City Manager and the Mayor’s Task Force on Economic Development. KMK Consulting will assist the City Manager and the Task Force in evaluating the current economic development operation of the City as well as designing and evaluating other organizational and delivery structures, encompassing the best practices of other comparable cities across the country. KMKC will also support a sub-committee of the Task Force dedicated to analyzing and re-engineering the City’s regulations impacting the development process within the City. The Task Force is co-chaired by City Manager Valerie Lemmie and Fifth-Third Bank CEO George Schaefer Jr. Other members include: Keith Glaser, principal with Excalibur Development Corp.; Renee Mahaffey Harris, executive director of Local Initiatives Support Corp.; J.J. Johnson-Jioducci, vice president of Key Bank; Rick Kimbler of Neyer Inc.; Jim King, president of the Community Redevelopment Corp.; David Krings, Hamilton County administrator; and Dale McGirr, vice president of finance for the University of Cincinnati. The task force also includes Robert Richardson, business administrator for Laborers Local 265; James Ritter, senior investment banker for Ross Sinclaire & Associates; Kathy Schwab, residential development adviser for Downtown Cincinnati Inc.; Rob Smyjunas, president of Vandercar Holdings Inc.; Daniel Staton, president of The Walnut Group; Pete Strange, CEO of Messer Construction; Donald Troendle, CEO of the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority; and Nick Vehr, vice president of economic development for the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce.
