Former Insurance Industry Senior Executive
Joins KMK Consulting Company

Cincinnati, January 15, 2002- KMK Consulting Company, LLC (KMKC) is proud to announce that Thomas A. Hayes has joined the firm full-time as a Vice President. Tom worked in the property and casualty insurance industry for twenty-five years with extensive experience in management, expense control, pricing, human resources, incentive compensation, performance management systems, marketing, business and process engineering, claims handling, loss prevention and financial accountability.

As an executive for over twenty-three years with Great American Insurance Company, a subsidiary of American Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: AFG), Tom held a number of successive senior management positions including General Counsel, Head of Claims, Executive Vice President of Operations and President of the Commercial Division, where he managed $400 Million of premium and 800 employees. In 1998, Tom became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Ohio Casualty Group, a $1.6 Billion premium property and casualty group.

Prior to Tom’s successful insurance career, he worked at Keating, Muething & Klekamp, PLL, becoming an associate in 1968 after graduation from Xavier University and receiving his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Subsequently, Tom served as Administrative Assistant to Congressman William J. Keating in Washington, D.C. and later also became a Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.

Tom will focus most of his efforts in KMKC’s Executive and Business Solutions Group representing both corporations and entrepreneurial clients in a variety of strategic planning and advisory matters, as well as directing the group’s Cost Reduction Services. Finally, Tom will also be offering his considerable expertise as a strategic advisor to various insurance companies in Greater Cincinnati as well as nationally.
