Notre Dame Executive MBA Program Ranked 30th in the World by Financial Times

Cincinnati, November 3, 2001- KMK Consulting Company, LLC is proud to announce that the University of Notre Dame Executive MBA Program (EMBA) was recently ranked 30th worldwide by the Financial Times newspaper in London. KMK Consulting is one of four distance learning host sites for this program. The Financial Times' rankings evaluated the top 72 schools and were based upon three criteria:

  • Career progression of graduates with the primary factor being the percentage increase in salary from when they started the program to the present;
  • The diversity and international experience of the students, faculty, advisory council and Board members; and
  • Published research by faculty members in leading journals.

Notre Dame’s Executive MBA Program excelled in the areas relating to salary increase and the level of job experience of the average EMBA student.

The top three schools in the rankings were the Wharton Executive MBA Program (University of Pennsylvania), the Columbia Business School Executive MBA Program (Columbia University) and the Executive MBA Programme (London Business School). Notre Dame ranked higher than similar programs at other institutions such as Baylor University, Temple University, Case Western Reserve, Wake Forest University, and University of Texas at Austin.

The EMBA Program at Notre Dame was founded in 1982. The EMBA, a two-year program, is designed to prepare mid- to upper-level managers for succession to senior management. Classes are held on alternating Fridays and Saturdays, allowing students to continue to work full-time while earning their Master's degrees.

The University developed a distance learning component in 1995, making it easier for professionals from other parts of the United States to earn advanced business degrees from Notre Dame. Based upon a state-of-the-art videoconferencing system, the distance learning program has been cited as the best in higher education and currently is available at four off-campus locations - KMK Consulting Company, LLC, in downtown Cincinnati; Motorola University in Schaumburg, Ill.; the RCI facility in Indianapolis; and Owens-Illinois, Inc., headquarters in Toledo, Ohio. Several other sites are under development.

Jim McGraw, Managing Director of KMK Consulting, said "Once again, we are extremely proud of our partnership with the University of Notre Dame and its prestigious Executive MBA Program. It really is an honor being the only consulting company to serve as a host for a world-renowned program like this one. We look forward to a continued relationship with the University, its administration, faculty, and many alumni throughout the U.S. and abroad."
